Upgrade to Font Awesome 5

EDAS icons have been upgraded to Font Awesome 5.  If you see any spinning question mark icons, please let EDAS Help know.

Equations in paper titles, abstracts and reviews

EDAS now implements MathJAX, so that all elements, such as paper titles, abstracts and review text, can contain LaTeX equations and symbols. Only \(...\) for inline math and \[...\] for display math are recognized since the dollar sign would trigger too many erroneous renderings when dollars as monetary units are meant instead of math.

Drag-and-drop ordering

Throughout EDAS, the up-and-down arrows have been replaced by drag-and-drop. Simply grab-and-hold   (or any other part of the table row) with your mouse and move the row to where it should go.

More custom fields for papers

EDAS now allows a much larger number of custom, conference-specific fields for papers. Each field can be either text input, a number, a selection from a drop-down menu or a yes/no checkbox. These can be shown in any order.

New template engine: Twig

EDAS now uses the modern Twig  template engine almost everywhere. This makes it much easier to create conditional templates, e.g., for email messages or visa letters. The syntax for templates differs between the old engine, HTML_Template_IT, and Twig, but the old syntax is automatically converted to the new format.
